Irc Server

Well, Apparently I cant find #[evil_genius] @irc.irchighway.net, did it change or something is just wrong with my eyes or my computer?

Just go to the listings site..

http://xdcc.evanidus.ath.cx:7420/

Then the first sentence is a link to the irc channel.

Well, i did, all it did was open a new Irc window, gave me a bunch of pop ups saying that channel doesnt exist and then its not connected to the server nor the channel

Are you actually connected to irc.irchighway.net when you are trying it? Well I guess more what I am asking, is are you connected to the server, or is the problem joining the room after being connected.

well when i click the link, i'm not connected to anything, when i connect it myself and search for it, its not found

What program do you use? And what server are you connecting to?

I don't know about other IRC clients but if you use mIRC type the following two commands on the command line.

/server irc.irchighway.net

wait to connect and try this one next

/join #[Evil_Genius]

if that does not work, it is probably cause you have a guest nick, so change your nick by

/nick YOURUSERNAME

then do

/join #[Evil_Genius]

again.

Let me know if that works.

Well, I switched cilents and did that and it worked, so I think its just that cilent or something went wrong with it >.>

I'm using mIRC now, i was using sysreset i dun think its the client its just sumthing went wrong with it

Some of the reasons why I don't use mIRC...I'll be painfully honest, I'm not quite proficient at it. I'm probably one of those noobs. But at least I'll read the FAQs
