Has Eden no Ori (Cage of Eden I think) been mentioned yet? I don't remember. Anyways, just read through the chapters up on mangafox. It was a little different than most. Plane crash lands on a weird island with a bunch of extinct animals. What was really weird about it though was the tone. I expected the author to go with a full-on dark theme; rape, murder, survival of the fittest, the works. While there is all those things, the author tries to scale it back to a shounen-level manga. It makes for an interesting contrast in the overall feel of the story.

I'd probably give it 3 stars out of 5 from what I read so far. Plot is decent, if surprisingly optimistic for that shitty situation. I would like it better if the dark undertone wasn't so viciously suppressed. Still, I'd recommend it if you're lacking material to read.

some new (for me) mangas ive read:

superior (not that good really, but still has some charm. its a bit like a much worse demon eye kyo)
bride of the water god (liked it, feels pretty much like a genuine old god saga)
pluto (very nice drawings and a good story, very recommendable)

and one of my new all time favourites:
attack on titan (about titans, giants, that attack humanities last fortress, a walled city. feels a bit like a semi medieval gantz. it's a must read)

Pluto is nice manga I enjoyed it. It wasn't as good as 21st century boys or Monster though.

Attack on titan has been one of my favorites for the last couple of months.

I've been reading a couple of Webtoons for a bit.

Noblesse - Slow in certain aspects but enough intrigue with the world that's constructed. I recommend it!

The God of High School - Fighting webtoon I highly recommend it if you like that genre.

Tower of God - Like noblesse (in many/some ways).

Been reading JoJo's Bizarre Adventure for the first time and really loving it. I'm up to part 5 (Vento Aureo). So far Stardust Crusaders has been my favorite part, but I have thoroughly enjoyed every part. It feels like it's been a decade since I've been meaning to get into this manga. Any JoJo fans?

Stardust Crusaders is so good. One of the best manga I've ever read.

The next part is a big shift in tone. It's still great, but it's far less serious and the comedy and general strangeness is on full blast.

Boku no Hero Academia
Shokugeki no Soma
Witch Hunt
Red Storm
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari (recommend)
Sun-Ken Rock

And then all the basic ones. Bleach more just so I might finally get to the end of it. 600 chapters in and I'm too invested to stop.

Some new mangas:

Sun-Ken Rock (don't really like it that much but it has it's moments)
Märchen (a bit like Rurouni Kenshin but not as good)
Terraformars (Pretty good action. Struggle vs overwhelming alien forces)
Dear boy (One of my new favourites, really good about bullying and revenge)
The gamer (kinda fun but the battles are lacking)
7 seeds (also one of my new favourites, it's about some few people put in cryo sleep and let out in a post apocalyptic world)
Mahou shoujo of the end (a bit the same feeling as Gantz in the start and middle, but in the end it feels more like Bleach so I hope they will get back to how it started)
Mahou shoujo site (a story in the same universe as "Mahou shoujo of the end", also starts out well but also feels a bit too much like Bleach or such right now)
Dolly kill kill (also about post apocalypse, it's ok but not as good as the Mahou shoujo)

Just read all chapters of Azumi. It's really good. Like a mix of the movies Zatoichi and the manga Lone wolf and cub. It's a well drawn manga about a female ninja in the era of Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Karate Shoukoushi Kohinata Minoru is not to bad, it reminds me of Kenichi kinda... with less supernatural powers, so a little more realistic. Still not a bad read so far.

I actually really enjoy Sun-Ken Rock. It's almost over too. With everything Boichi it gets pretty uncomfortably sexualized sometimes...

Currently reading:

Sun-Ken Rock
Ouroborus
Kekkon Yubiwa Monogatari
Ao No Exorcist
Akame ga Kiru
Ubel Blatt
Re:Monster
Red Storm
Masamune-kun no Revenge
Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
Kanshikan Tsunemori Akane
Happiness
Keijo (this one's just silly...)
Fire Brigade of Flames
Baito Saki wa "Aku no Soshiki"
Mayabi
White Epic
Deathtopia
Shokugeki no Soma
Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari (Monthly, but really good)
Boku no Hero Academia
Vinland Saga
Owari no Seraph
Historie
Berserk (of course)

Now that I've typed that all out... that's a lot of manga.

Another Naver webtoon "God of HighSchool" fufills the crazy aspect. If you enjoyed redstorm you should like this one.

I will give it a shot...

Edit: God of HighSchool look like it will be a good filler for a while... Star Wars Webtoon is finished I liked it... it is a in depth look a luke's life... but most of it you see in the movie but the stuff at the end is pretty emotional

Just started reading a manga called Full Metal Wing. Pretty good so far. About an orphaned outcast kid who lives in a village that finds a dragon egg and raises his own dragon.

It's a Korean manga so it's in long form like Red Storm.

some new mangas to add to older ones (when i catch up to one i after a while start a new.. and they add up :) )

dokgo (good bully revenge manga (here manhwa=manga) )
super outcast ( bully revenge manga also but not as good)
cursor (finished. twisted story where it is unclear wheter the main character is delusional or got special power. pretty good)
wizardly tower (feels like a waste of time but for some reason i still read them)
trinity wonder (a bit lacking but has potential)
dorohedoro (truely superb, check it out. reminds me a bit of full metal alchemist but much more gore)

This is something I've been meaning to definitely pick up too. Currently I'm cruising though Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo and Nichijou's manga.

Homunculus, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Tokyo Ghoul series, and xxxholic are some of my favourites I recommend to everyone.
