127 Hours was phenomenal. They stayed incredibly true to the guy's story:
The part where he stabs his arm and the air pressure sound effect comes in actually happened, the dude's arm was already gangrenous.
My favorite part of the movie was that it did not sensationalize or hype up his amputation and that there was a story being told.

Did that happen before or after he freed himself? As I recall from reading his account of it shortly after it occurred, he did do that, but it was he freed himself because he was curious on the state of his hand.

I saw Black Swan.

It was good but not great.

127 Hours is still my fave for 2010.

I watched True Grit recently and I've got to say that I actually like this movie better than I do the original... it's definitely more faithful to the book.

I've been wanting to watch 127 Hours and since everyone I've talked to has been pretty positive about the movie I'll definitely pick it up when it's released on Blu-ray.

I've yet to see True Grit and 127 Hours, I'll definitely check them out.

The Town
Boring as all hell, Ben Affleck sucks as an actor and he's even worse as a director.

Casino Jack
A very enjoyable tale (mostly true story) of Jack Abramoff, an ambitious, vain lobbyist who uses his power over US representatives to pass laws that favor his clients and to forward more business for himself while trying to branch out into other businesses like his own restaurant and school, braking laws and operating on the gray without remorse or hesitation because, as he says, "my name is Jack Abramoff, and I work out every day". This movie is very much in the style of The Informant! with Matt Damon, so if you liked that one, you'll like this one as well.

Not really my kind of movie, but Spacey is a great actor. ;)

I still can't wait to see "True Grit" and "127 Hours". I recently watched "Inception", finally. I thought it was pretty good, of course, as is the general consensus I believe.

Just watched "Illusionniste" (Illusionist, duh).
It was beautiful.

I just watched that Transcendent Man documentary. It wasn't half as silly as I expected it to be, and I actually wound up enjoying it. It's about Ray Kurzweil and his crazy ass theories.

I wouldn't say best of 2010, but I enjoyed 4 Lions quite a bit.

Hobo with a Shotgun had a few lines and scenes that were great, but overall it was a pretty crappy movie.

Stake Land was good, I like the ugly zombie-like vampires way more than the bitchy sparkly kind.
