@Rolos: Seems fine, but what does PD mean? Do you mean P.S.?

papasith wrote:also whats up with the otaku one? am i the only one not getting it?

Apparently it's the Haruhi color scheme. Though why the hair is at the left and right, and the part of the sailor uniform in the middle, I do not know.
If I hadn't read about that on tvtropes I wouldn't have known either :D

what's Haruhi? You all seem to be in love with it.

And a TB of anime doesn't make an otaku, it just means you're good at collecting crap. I almost have a TB of anime I've downloaded too, then about 200 DVDs I've bought.

"Otaku (おたく/オタク?) is a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and video games."

if you and me watch all we own (im damn near close) then by definetion we are.

haruhi is a comedy/slice of life anime if i had to catagorize it, the only reason i have not really watched it through is the episodes are out of order

Fuck Haruhi, she's just a bitch.
Kyon, on the other hand, is a god amongst mortals. BEST. ANIME. NARRATOR. EVER.

PD stands for Post Data. For some bizarre reason, that's what most people use at the end of letters down here.

The first light novel is from 2003, the anime started in 2006. And you're missing a whole lotta fun if you never read/watched it.

I would agree with you if it wasn't for the existence of Douglas Adams, creator of "The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy".
Kyon is second only to him.

P.S: As far as I know, 9 light novels have been published in English.

Actual picture, not doctored in any way:

Boner, of course, meant Mistake back in those days.

This is rather old, but awesome nontheless. In 2007 Great Britain had a design competition for a new union jack flag. They didn't change it though but they at least thought and talked about updating it to reflect the current times.

The winning flag of the competition?
Spoiler:
Image
UNION FLAGANN SPIN ON!

"It represents shouting "UNION!" and joining together; kicking reason to the curb and doing the impossible; fighting the power, and piercing the heavens," the creator of the flag said.

Here's the article from the british telegraph paper: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/ ... sults.html

Too bad they didn't go through with that update. Would have instantly made Britain the most awesome country in the world. :D

I have to admit, that would be a sweet ass flag. It almost looks like a Jolly Roger. I would have to give cred to any country that redoes their flag in such fashion, heh.

The picture of the guy getting hit in the crotch is from the The Alphabet Of Manliness. It's a really funny book, you should look it up.

This is on some game I downloaded a demo of. I suppose it's an option for the dialogue.
