First!

Edit: Alright, I got a direct download going, but I'm still testing waters here and speed might suck:

For students below high school this'll be their first Berserk anime I suppose.
Apparently Japanese kids watched Berserk when they were three. Explains a lot, I suppose.

Miura might take long ass breaks, but you can damn well see he isn't just lazing around, the art just keeps getting better.

Thanks for the release EG!

Great chapter, many thanks Evil_Genius ! (and Kentarou Miura of course...)

We learn a lot of things in this one, for exemple, the kid always appears at full moon and near the sea... maybe he likes midnight swim ?

I can't wait for the next chapter, luckily it will be released soon !

Thanks, EG!
One question, though. Are the SFX sounds written in hiragana? Because I've been trying to translate them, and, well, it's hard. With a few exceptions, none of them look familiar.
What's up with that?

Oh, right. Duh.

Second question:
Why would Miura use katakana for sound effects? Isn't katakana used only for foreign words?

Katakana is pretty much always used for sfx. Sometimes hiragana will be used for sfx that stem from actual words.

It's cool that you're trying to learn from a book and all, but why not take a Japanese course? It would be significantly faster, more thorough, and more efficient.

Pretty much this. Hiragana is closely tied to meaning-laden kanji, while katakana is used to emphasize the phonetic sound rather than any inherent meaning. Which is why it's used for foreign names and words (that mimic how they're spoken in the original language rather than give them meaning in Japanese), as well as noises. It's also sometimes used in text to make something stand out, like we would use italics.
If you look closely, you can see it's the child from Vritannis beach. That's why Casca was drawn to him. I still think it's their son. He's always been otherworldly as it is. Even before he lost his body in Albion during the psuedo-eclipse, he was like some kind of mutant spirit thing. The new body is definitely an improvement, heh.
I'm really looking forward to seeing how this develops.
It's defintively Gutts and Caska's son. Maybe later on the manga it will be explained how Griffith cut the child soul from the body he stole in order to avoid any love to Gutts (and Caska). And now, after the two worlds have merged into one, this kid can reach his parents. Soooo everyone welcome the new member of the party: the torch baby!
Nice work EG!!!!

Thanks a million again. This release was way more awesome than halloween. I'm all giddy about the wierd little kid being back. I'm glad that was a plot point that will add development to the whole island detour, instead of it just being a fight.

Thanks for the release, EG.

Also, does the Berserk armor take control of Guts' prosthetic arm or what? At page 10 in this chapter he is GRIPPING a tentacle tightly with his prosthetic arm.
This isn't the first time in this state he has been able to use his arm like that.

Goof on Miura's side or will it eventually be explained (maybe it already has, I haven't read past Volume 22 in years, and that was that terrible BotH translation). Getting Vol 23 - 30 in the mail today :D)?
