I'm not very impressed with the Golden Age movie trilogy. They cut out epic fights like Wyald vs. Band of the Hawk. Like the anime, the films are on a limited budget. Oh well. I got my manga to read.

I agree... although the eclipse sex scene was better if nothing else... I was really disappointed that Wyald scene was not there :evil:

So contrary to the pessimism that most people here have shown (including myself), the Golden Age Arc trilogy seems to have been very well received by pretty much everyone. Amazon reviews and the IMDB pages all point to the movies as very solid if not glorious, which leaves me wondering, were the movies not commercially successful in theaters? Or is the reason why we haven't heard anything of the rest of the movies they had planned because some business deals fell through?
