Crap, that reminds me to watch this. I only watched like the first 4 episodes cause at the time I wasn't a Berserk fan (wow, that's sad) and had only read the first 3 volumes. Now that I've read all the manga (tho I've yet to see the anime) I should probably continue watching. I greatly enjoyed the first couple episodes, I believe I've left you comments.

The "two front teeth" segment was worthy of AMV Hell. Seriously, they're doing the 4th one right now, you should polish it up and send it in. Also, "We've had crossbows this whole time?" had me in stitches.

I've noticed that you base a lot of your humor on taking cracks at things in the plot that don't make the most sense. For example, why did Corkus want to kill Bazuso when they were technically on the same side? However, just so we're clear on this, you do get your information wrong at times. I try not to worry about it, since this is just a comedy thing. Uh, though, for example, Zodd is in TWO episodes of Berserk. Also, that cloak thing DOES make sense. He's wearing armor, for one thing, and he's deflecting some of the arrows with his cloak. Is such a thing possible, sure it is. Is it possible for any of us, maybe, but much less likely. Even wind or air pressure can affect an arrow in flight dude, I'm sure the cloak is doing at least that much as Gatts swings it. I'm sure even fabric could deter an arrow, even if it tears through it. Gatts is bad ass, and this IS anime after all, but that's not even that hard to fathom. Anyway, I just wanted to point that out. Berserk is amazing, so if you're going to take cracks at it, at least stick to the ones that really do seem true, because they're funnier. I guess I'm saying, don't reach for it, and then I won't feel compelled to mention something. Anyway, keep it up, I'd like to see the rest of the series abridged. XD

True, although at that point in the episode progression he'd only been in one (his second appearance is later in the series). That's sort of what I was going for, but maybe it wasn't made as clear as it might have been.

I don't want to get into an in-depth debate about how the physics of arrow flight are affected by swinging cloaks with you, so let's just say that I find it very unlikely that he could deflect THAT many arrows coming at him THAT quickly at point-blank range and leave it at that. It's certainly not out of the ordinary where anime logic is concerned, but still (in my always-humble opinion) ripe for parody.

Okay, that makes sense. My bad.

Heh, fair enough I guess. I think his arm was like still getting cut and stuff, but that was a lot of arrows. *L* That's anime for you. I guess the tone of the joke is what got me. I mean, it's kind of like that bit about "A writer spewing forth filth from his pen". That just seems a bit harsh to me, and not just as a writer myself. I mean, Miura-san doesn't spew filth, heh. Er, all the rape and death and carnage aside, that's a totally different issue, heh. Meh, he may not have even written that quip at the beginning, but it does seem to sum up the principles of Berserk *shrugs*. Anyway, it's all good man. There are still parts that have seriously cracked me up as well. I look forward to seeing the rest of your work on this. ;)

I can understand that. I really don't mean it as harsh as it sounds; if it's not already painfully obvious, I LOVE Berserk. It's absolutely my favorite anime and manga of all time, warts and all. (The anime having a few more of said warts; it's generally a good adaptation, and they did well with what they had, but it's also very obvious that they didn't have that much of a budget to work with.)

Episode 14, "Only You Can Help Judeau Get Laid," is up.

Decided to try something a little different and go for some of that "audience participation" that I understand is all the rage with you kooky kids nowadays. Be interested to see how that turns out. (-:

I've seen it romanized both ways, but not being an expert on the Japanese language myself, I don't know which is more correct. I'll have to ask Miura next time I see him. (-:

Great episode. This satisfies me for a while... untill Sept 14thish. When we get blessed with another release. Im pretty sure the name is Rickert as well.. just as Gutts us Gatts is Gattsu . Just a bit of a critique, and it just might be me, but at times its like your going way out there with stuff not really relevant. Not saying anything negative, but hopefully you wont lose your focus and finish up the series as great as you started it.

No need to ask Miura dude. The official spelling in the Dark Horse releases is Rickert, and those releases are approved by Miura. Also, I believe the actual pronounciation of Casca's name is (Cass~ca). Like most of the names in Berserk, it's not Japanese. I believe that name is Roman. ;)

Anyway, just some random information, take it as you will. I'm not trying to give you a hard time or anything. *shrugs*

I was just messing around. (-: Hey, maybe it's just that Pippin doesn't know how to pronounce Rickert's name. Yeah, that's it. It's a joke, see. I planned it that way all along. (-:
