Awesome. I should see Gantz just so I can see the abridged series.

I've been watching the DBZ Abridged and they're very funny as well. I think it's made by some of the guys that helped Hbi2k with his series (right?).

Its really, really good.

In fact, in my book its only second to Berserk the abridged series in overall awesomeness. Hbi2k did a really good job with the available material.
The A.A.A.A (Abridged Anti Awesomeness Aliance) parts were especially good, and the murder of the weather girl was, simply put, pure fu**ing gold.

Worried about the filler parts of the anime? Just watch what he did with those, simply genius.

I honestly think I did a much better job with Gantz Abridged, but a lot of people prefer BAS because Berserk is just a much better series. Sometimes I think the only reason so many people liked Berserk Abridged was because every once in a while, I could just kind of stand to one side and let the awesomeness that is Berserk shine through.

If you're interested in it, I'd heartily recommend the Gantz manga over the Gantz anime. The anime is very pretty at times, but the pacing is a constant annoyance. Also the anime adapts what is IMO one of the weaker arcs (understandable, since it's the first, but still). The manga doesn't really pick up until JUST after the point where the anime went into filler. (And what terrible filler it was, too.)

And, yeah, TeamFourStar's DBZ Abridged is probably the best of the bunch right about now, not least because we've got some real pro-quality VAs who can do incredibly accurate impressions of the dub actors, and an editor who actually knows what he's doing. (-:

I have to agree with you on that. I'm actually getting more laughs out of your Gantz Abridged series for some reason. As for the other thing you said, totally true. The manga is way better than the anime, and the manga doesn't really start getting truly good until after where the anime left off, like you said. I'm looking forward to watching more of Gantz Abridged, I'll probably be going to watch ep. 5 after I get done posting here on the forums. ;)

Given how much more awesome the Berserk anime was than the Gantz anime (on a side note I agree that the Gantz manga is pretty good), the fact that people (I include myself in this) seem to think that Berserk abridged and Gantz abridged were at a similar level fairly well proves that you must have improved a lot by the time you did Gantz abridged, hbi2k. Which is as it should be, of course. If you don't improve as you go along, what's the point? Speaking for myself, please keep up the good work, I would love to see more of your stuff.

I don't know, I think I just take Berserk more serious or something. At times I found myself wanting to criticize some of the things that had been said, even though I know it's just jokes. I guess what I'm saying is I think it's just easier for me to laugh at Gantz. :P

Evangelion Abridged? There are like five of those, but none of them are by me. (-: I think you must be thinking of Escaflowne.

Newer: I've only gotsix episodes out so far, and I'm working on the seventh.

The order I did them is Berserk -> Gantz -> Escaflowne.

Bad planning on my part, I did the series I like the most when I had the least experience at writing and editing. (-: Oh, well.

ok i love those and i'm glad to see that you didn't do hitomi and merl yourself, and the girl playing merle is perfect if i may say so. and thank you for making fun of foxcaflowne! i still get thrown off by that being what i first watched, luckily it didn't go all the way before ytv picked it up and didn't mess with it anymore. that was painful.

ps. did you use pokemon gameboy music at all in there? and i love how the starting thing has different cheesy love songs each time.

Hbi2k love the gasas, like starnum said a few posts back, imo alot funnier than the bas. Saying that I got a suggestion for a new one if your open to it, how about hellsing? Haven't seen one of those yet, that were actually good.

I have to say, my favorite part is in Episode 6.
"Whoa, did you just beat him with your own arm ? That is Hard core! Seriously, kill me right now, that is the coolest thing I will ever see!"
It's funny, 'cause I thought the same thing when I saw it happen in the anime, "Hard core!"
