He could be looking slightly another way when someone took the picture...but who knows.

Awesome prop job. It doesn't look like maché or foam, though, in fact, it looks a lot like metal.

I'd love to go to a LARP in an armour suit like that - but only if it's steel, though.

I wonder how it handles, whether all those overlappying layers increase movability or just encumber the movement from having too many leather straps to hold it all together.

Hey guys, I'm back from Otakon... and this year I found some Berseks cosplay. I'll post the pics as soon as they are done editing.

Get ready to bash some poor attempts.

That was actually a mispelling from someone (what was the thread again?), and we started making fun of it - saying that there's some Berseks and someone is berseksy ;)

Steeples scrape the sky, Praising God.
Everything here exists for God, is sacrificed to God.
For those who have nothing to sacrifice,
It can be a very heartless city indeed.

Hahaha, that's awesome.

But is it disturbing the the word "Berseks" makes me think of the word "Buttsecks"?

Actually I'm Portuguese. So certain terms elude my knowledge of English grammar. The only thing i could think of near that was "Buttcheeks"...

Making fun of non-native speakers is bad.

Buttsecks is a wrong spelling for butt sex, which stands for anal sex. Anal sex is taking it in the ass. Butt sex is sometimes associated with not willingly taking it in the ass.

Do you need more explanations?

Ok...
Being a non-native doesn't mean my comprehension is that low. I did get after you kindly said Buttsecks=Butt Sex.

Buttsex and We're really not talking about buttsex

Yup that's one thought that jump top mind when joining "buttsex" and "Berserk" in the same phrase. The others thoughts don't have anything to do with Miura's work, I'm afraid

Alrighty! Otakon was 7/20-7/22. I was there for 3 days and told my friends if they see any Berserk cosplay to point it out.
Enjoy the hilarity!

Image
I met this guy! Hes on the last DVD of Berserk in the hidden fan section! Look it up! Its this asian guy, he was really cool. Met him at the OC-Remix pannel. I was just sitting there minding my own business when he sits 2 rows in front of me and my jaw drops cuz I know who he is from the DVD.

Image
Plenty of "Gutts" in that picture.
Image
Thats me as a cheesy guile. The hair dye didn't work, and I was trying so hard not to laugh. That Gutts had poison ivy on his arms... or some other rash. It was quite frightening.

Image
Image
The Gutts on the left side wasn't too bad compared to the others.

Image
Image
Unfortunately none of my friends have such a deep passion and this girl almost passed me by... untill I screamed "Schierke!!!" I think she wins for best Berserk cosplay... there were some slim pickins.

On a side note, most of the Berserk cosplayers I met said I should cosplay Gutts. Maybe when I gain another 50 lbs of muscle. I've also got plenty of pictures on facebook, if you wanna see just PM me.

You are by far the most normal looking person in any of those pictures, and for that, I commend you. That statment has nothing to do with the costumes either, by the way. Someone needs to tell that first Gatts cosplayer that he's closing THE WRONG EYE! *Chuckles* Anyway, I wouldn't want to cosplay unless I had a really good outfit, and I somehow looked remotely like the character I was supposed to be. Both are pretty unlikely I guess. How tall are you? Anywone who can stand next to someone else in a picture, and appear shorter than the other person, shouldn't cosplay Gatts. Heh, well, IMO anyway.
