I think the muscles were almost right on track, a little slim but still pretty close. Remember in the berserker armor he looks really fast and nimble.

*Edit*
Yeah sorry a little drunk, mistook your comment in saying the muscle were too scrawny.

Holy shit man! Can you give me a bit of a rundown of how you make this stuff? Do you by chance sell any? I need a Guts costume in the future when I get all big and muscular :D

haha actually this is the first time i ever tried any of this. usually i do simple cosplay but for guts i wanted to go all out. i bout a half cow of veg tan leather for the bags and belts. the sword is insulation foam with fiber glass (just restarted one today because the first one got messed up), and the arm is one part steel brace that i hammered out on an anvil and one part pvc for the cannon. all in all its alot of work and im still not done yet.

i did come across a problem though. im going to just buy bell cuff boots because i can't make those. i can only find them in two colors, black or brown. if i go with the brown should i also bye my leater brown or leave my leather light brown? any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Someone needs to make me one of those soft-core Dragonslayers, and send it to me, but it needs to be good quality if you wanna get paid. :)

haha no. i just restarted the sword yesterday. the resin ate too much of the foam (too much hardener) so im putting a thin coat of bondo on it first. i'll sand it down and then apply the fiber glass, followed with more sanding.yay.

So I went to Otakon this year in Baltimore and I was pleasantly surprised with the mood of the convention. Not too many stupid naruto or bleach fans in shitty costumes. I ran across 3 Guts cosplayers one of which I think posted the pics above. His DS was the best of the bunch. Judge for yourselves:

Damn good job on the leather too.

I had a little fun with his DS:

SO what do you all think???

Also, its time for the wild world of RAPTOR!!!!

The 3rd Guts definitely has the best costume. Who are you supposed to be? If I had to guess, it'd be a troll from WoW, lol. Maybe I've just been playing it too much or something.

Necroing...

So heres my shitty 100 man slayer sword with my shitty berserk cosplay:
Image

I was trying to go for the scene after they fight Zod the first time. When guts is getting his frustrations out and then Griffith talks to him right before they encounter the king and Charlotte. Yes, its real wood and measures about 6ft long. The dimensions are proportional to my size. I took reference pictures from the new movie when making the sword. I have more pics but too lazy and no one cares to see them anyway.

Ha, I knew there were more. The pictures are awesome and much better than the one you initially posted, especially the one with the dragonfly. Don't hold out on us like that again. Also, I'm gonna have to ask you to post the Kenshiro pics as well.
