Ah, I see. I wasn't sure, that's why I asked. I was just checking, you know? I guess I missed that one.

You make me sick. Seriously, get some help. That was like, the most innocent part of berserk, the one moment in which no one was being raped by either Gatts or a tentacle monster, and you twist it into that? Go fuck yourself.

Pd: Just kidding. Who could possibly fail to interpret that movement as a reference to masturbation? I know I couldn't.

That guy definitely got skill, and his other pictures are really nice. But they ALL look like they are pregnant in the 8th month on those pictures. Which is especially disturbing for Griffith and Judeau.

I think I've never really posted in this forum before <_< but here's where I get my notsobimonthly dosis of Berserk so I thought I'd share my fanart with you guys <3

Any critics or comments about it would be appreciated.
If I could draw guys that looked like guys I'd love to draw Gattsu, but if I tried he'd probably end up looking gay...oh well.

Here is my half scale 1760's French ditto suit inspired by Roderick from Berserk. It's only half scale so I didn't think that it should have been put in the cosplay thread. I didn't have enough time to put in the fake button holes on the coat, and this was a project for a class and because I chose the 1760's I was dissallowed to have a large collar like the one Roderick has in the manga, instead opting for the much more likely mandarin collar. Other than that it's pretty much what Roderick, or any other maritime noble, would wear. http://s524.photobucket.com/albums/cc32 ... 71copy.jpg Of course i can't figure out how to show the actual picture, if one of the site admins could message me and tell me how that would be a great help. I tried to copy and paste this url into the image bit, but it wasn't working.

Nifty. You do good work, Herald.

Although (and maybe it's just the perspective, or it's supposed to be that way) the pants seem disproportionately short compared to the rest of the outfit.

The reason that the pants are short is because they are knee length. They look even shorter because the vests and coat are especially long. Thanks for getting it up. Here's the back view so you can see how much work went into the cut. There are a good 6 pleats in the coat. They're at the slit in the back and where the buttons are. Thanks for helping out admins.

Half-scale? How big is it?

I was going to say that you must be a midget, but then I read the scale bit.

Although, I am a bit curious what kind of project needs a half scale French ditto suit and what will you do with it.

It was designed to be a half scale for a standard 6 foot tall man. So, hmm, the dummy is about 3 feet tall, minus the head of course. The whole thing is about a foot and a half and the coat is about a foot. I did measure it of course when I was drawing out the patterns, but I can't remember the numbers exactly, plus they were in metric. Which leads into my answer to Eldo's question. It was the final project for my costume pattern and construction course. I was required to do research, which I can tell you can be very hard when you're looking for specifics on clothing, not wars. Our prof taught us in half scale because it was an easier size to handle. She also wanted us to do it half size because of the difficulty value to it. I didn't much like working with velvet in half scale, but finding the right sized buttons and patterns was interesting. We had to choose a piece from between 1600 and 1920, and I really like Roderick and Pirates of the Carribbean so yeah, that's why I made that particular piece. It's also just cool to have, and it doesn't take up as much space as a full size. Plus it's a ton cheaper.
