Q: How old is Gatts?
.... Now, if you add up the unspecified time between when The Hawks first became a part of the military till Gatts left them, and everything else that’s happened since Gatts set out to save Casca from Mozgus, it’s possible that Gatts may be 22. However, we know for sure that he’s at least 21, and no older than 22, so either could be correct.

damn..... if he is as of now (vol. 31) around 22 .....wow...
one would say he rly doesnt look like that (looks much older).
but if you think about what he had to endure... and what keeps happening to him.... - no old man can live with so much blood-loss even with magic -

....scheesch .... do his friends (companions) know how old he is? 'cause as far as i can remember they know nearly nothing about him, besides his dislike of apostles, that he was a merc and likes/cares for casca.... - what else do they know?

true. but theyd want to know why then.....

but what do you think happens when they know he was a hawk? *grin* ishido(?) said he is a fan of the raider captain .... so, interesting coincidence.

t.A wrote:New theory - Skull Knight is not Gaiseric! Gaiseric was Void and Skull Night to Void was someone like Guts to Griffith! Thinking logically, hasn’t Flora said that Guts and Skull Knight are following the same path?! Plus the parallels Berserk are too important to discard them: Guts hates Femto (aka Griffith) and SK hates Void. Both of them uses Berserkers amour (Guts now and SK before him). SK had Flora, Guts has Shierke. Plus Flora seamed like totally good character - can you imagine her collaborating with one of the God Hands?
Just let me frame this theory along with the 'new' theories and later merge it into one 'new' theory, to save time and space.

Probably shouldn't write here, but ... there are many other topics more fitting to this conversation - can we move this out of the FAQ stick? :)

We actually do have a thread for that...

http://www.evil-genius.us/forums/viewtopic.php?t=123

So, I don't know, direct all your bullshit crap and suggestions there, questions about the FAQ or whatever.

My last post was sarcastic. Like I said before, whether the theories are good or bad, they should be taken to the Stupid Theories thread. Even if you think it's not stupid. It generally is anyway, and posting shit there won't hurt. It was one of our popular threads, so it's OK to revive it, I guess.

Yeah, instead of doing something cool, like commenting on my two omakes you people just keep writing posts in FAQ all day
What is good?-Whatever augments the feeling of power, the will to power, power itself, in man.
What is evil?-Whatever springs from weakness.
What is happiness?-The feeling that power increases-that resistance is overcome.

since you discuss names - is Ishidoro the correct name, or is it a kanja-nized version of Isidro? I've been wondering for a while.

I have a problem. Every time I change my sig, my apostrophes double. For example, if my sig was it can''t kill my brain after the change it would be it can''''t kill my brain. How to fix this?

I have no such problem. I just tried it and saw nothing wrong with it, which is strange to hear you have such problems. Maybe you can try previewing before you submit?

I just tried to change my sig and preview it, and here's what I got:
Roy - If I don\'\'\'\'t look directly at it, it can\'\'\'\'t kill my brain.
Even funnier than before!

It is done to prevent SQL injection attacks. Since signatures are a luxery and not a right, just roll with it. Typically signatures are either images or text. Typically it isn't cool to have both images & text, so long as the total combined height is no greater than 160pixels, which yours is not.

Ummm. didn't quite understand...
It is not cool to have pic+txt >= 160pixels in hight, or vice versia? I keep my pic at 150pixels hight, just as I been told to...

You may just want to get rid of the text because the sig seems pretty tall with it. Either that or shorten the pic.

I'll quote the Registration Agreement:
e) Signatures and Avatars: Signatures shouldn’t contain animated images over 512KB in size. Keep the signature equal to or below 600 pixels in width and 160 pixels in height. Your avatar should be no bigger than 300 pixels in height and 150 pixels in width, non-animated. Keep them free of hardcore porn, if you have doubts, talk to a moderator.
That means the entire signature, not just the picture. Don't get me wrong, I like reading your signature, crazy D&D antics FTW! However, the text just makes it entirely to big.

512 kb? Is mine too big? [I'm terrible at understanding how bytes and kilo bytes work since the units aren't measured in 10s]

Yours is 77KB.

kb == kilobit (1024 bits)
KB == kilobyte (1024 bytes)

1bit can have only one value, 0 or 1
there are 8 bits in a byte.

kilo == 1024 because there are only two values (0 and 1), so what is 2^10 (2 to the tenth power). 2^10 = 1024.

Amazing what we can do with only 'true' & 'false'. :P

edit: true SI unit for kilo is 1000, however that is decimal, and we are working in binary sooo... kilo magically becomes 1024. :D

Yeah, Ishidoro is just how it sounds when the Japanese say his name. His name is in fact Isidro. It's a Spanish name, and as we all know, Miura loves to give his characters European names. ;)

BTW, Aeriel, next time you have a question about your sig or any kind of technical question, please ask about it in the "Help and Suggestion" forum. This FAQ thread is reserved for the Berserk topic only, generally, thanks. :)

Again, I should pay more attention to the small print. I see someone already corrected it for me, so I don't have to sweat. :D

http://www.giantitp.com and then 'comics'. Up there there is 'start from number one' (if they haven't removed it, they've been reforming the site lately...) OOTS FTW! :D :D

OK. The only two forums I've been on Mindwerks are Berserk and Interstice, so I guess I'm not used to dig any further. :)

I actually wanted to look up the meaning of the name, and if BehindTheName is correct, it's supposed to be Isidoro.

Schierke, however, I can't find anywhere. Except that it's a mountain village in Germany. How do you explain THAT? :?
psi29a wrote: But there ARE variations in names, so it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't. :)

Eh...you don't have to. The size limit for a signature is 512 kb, and yours was 77 kb.
