For your musical needs...

I've kept this site to myself for the longest time, but I thought I might share it with you all. http://www.synthema.ru/ It has everything I love: EBM, Synthpop, Futurepop, Gothic, Metal, and more... it is in russian, but offers a translation link on the side provided by google. Frankly, you don't n...

Re: Is it okay to create a graphic section?

Events and contests are a good thing (tm)! :) I highly encourage stuff like this, however we have had graphics section in the past, but there wasn't a lot of activity there to justify it's existence. It was rolled back into OTW. If we get more people posting in the forums, new blood and activity... ...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugly_American Ugly American is an epithet used to refer to perceptions of arrogant, demeaning, thoughtless behaviors of Americans at home or abroad. The term originated as the title of a 1958 book by authors William Lederer and Eugene Burdick, The Ugly American. The fil...

Re: U.S Successfully Hits its Satellite Target.

It's simply because everyone hates us that they said that. Having had the experience of going to several other countries over the years, yes... we are Ugly Americans. They make like is individually which is cool, but you have to be careful at pubs. ;) So far in my travels, I've not been treated rud...

Re: U.S Successfully Hits its Satellite Target.

It is just posturing, Russia has always done this, not only to taunt but to give Russians something to laugh about as well. To us, it is a bit of a slap in the face but it has been that way for a long time now and should be shrugged off. I remember Cuba doing the same thing when Katrina and Rita hit...

Re: U.S Successfully Hits its Satellite Target.

They had to hit it about 150 miles up, a large amount of fissile material will burn up on reentry, but it will still cause some environmental problems west of Hawaii. Out of mind out of site I guess. I've been keeping up on this over the past couple of days. Apparently it was a failed US Dep. of Def...

Re: Gunman shoots 17 people at Northern Illinois University

Oh come on, the whole world doesn't think Americans are all homicidal maniacs. The problem is that America, even with a probable 99.99% peace-loving citizens, still breeds an increasing number of individuals who ARE homicidal maniacs. And it seems like there's no way to stop them. Simple math, larg...

Re: New Style Contest!

Current style has some issues, I need to fix them out. This template is based on the very early beta of the proSilver theme. I'll be starting over again and hopefully tightening things up. I'm still not quite sure why the images like REPLY are jacked, but I'll investigate. Could be that the text is ...

Pfft, psi, not all of us are complete morons.

I've seen 300.
Phew... good to know! That was such a hugely accurate film. ;)

It is all a power play, but people (States) involved want different things.

Re: If more people knew what we did to Iran...

Just so that we are all on the same page... Iran == Persians Iran != Arabs From what I've read and heard, not many people like the idea Iran meddling in the affairs of it's neighbors to the east and south-east. Then again, no one likes other States messing in the affairs of other sovereign countries...

Though it wasn't a great movie.....The beginning of the movie The Kingdom gave a great overview of how Western Policy shaped the Middle-Eastern Landscape. Though it is NOT like the US just barged its way in, regarding the Saudi's, "we just offered our help". I actually thought the beginni...

;) Oh OK, we get your point. Cheers....though I will be going down in flames for it. 8) hahaha, not like others haven't. I enjoyed reading this because it is just more food for thought. Not just some nuts with a particular agenda, but given the evidence presented to them, changed their minds.
