I think comparing them is unfair. If you mean comparing the first 13 volumes of the Manga VS the Animated Series, I sure prefer the Animated Series. I don't find it disturbing in the graphic sense. Maybe because it's a manga, so it's drawn, therefore not real. But if I saw a movie with that content...probably would be pretty affected.
