Re: Berserk 324 - Merrow
No offense but this story arc really needs to end and move on. I understand that there may be a new member of the gang but it's REALLY felt like filler over the past few months. Things need to get more serious and focused if you ask me~ There were comical moments in Berserk during the nineties peri...

Re: What are you reading?
To be honest i cant really begin to say exactly what the story is about because there is so many plot lines along the way that i cant say it is about one event, It is more about a series of event all leading upa possible reworking of what it is to be a god in this world (as i see it) There are defi...

You define anything men manipulate as poison?
Tobacco is also a plant. Pretty sure that causes cancer.
I don't understand which side of the argument you're on or the point you're trying to make. Be more clear please.

Don't get me wrong, I think Jimbe is awesome. It's just....he's a former captain, shichibukai and all-around badass of the former era. It just doesn't seem right to me to have him as an underling to Luffy. They've been much better as equals.

Re: ::One Piece::
Honestly, I think Jimbei would have too much power. When the other members joined, they always just seemed to fit for me now matter how disparate they were. For some reason I don't feel like Jimbei would. Maybe just cause he's part of the last generation? Not sure. You're right though. It looks like...

Re: The programming thread!
Well you'd have a hard time doing that cause Rolos won't stop using that goddamn usario package. But if he wasn't using some random Spanish package, you would just dl the java sdk, copy his code into a text file, save the file as "classname".java (where classname is the name of the class h...

Yeah. I love how it gives more depth to Arlong's character so that he's more than just an egotistical bastard.

Been hearing about this for a while now, but unfortunately I don't have HBO. Really loved the books though. How's the series compare to them?

@War Machine Since the point of your direct download is to make the scan more widely available (I think?), .zip files are probably the way to go. Like you said, the format is more widely recognized and easier to access on public machines. Thanks again for the scan, EG! Looks like we should get done ...

Re: The programming thread!
That....depends on how you define energy. As defined by physical science, you are correct. However, to many people the word energy has taken on additional metaphysical meaning (Chi, Ki, spiritual energy) that isn't necessarily definable in a purely physical sense. Which means it can be its own disti...

Re: The programming thread!
Heh. Well. If you think about it, Eclipse is stored as electrical charge on your hard disk. Which means that it's made of pure energy. Which means it's technically achieved a higher state of existence than you. So you should probably listen when it gives you advice. Also, it's generally a bad idea t...

Re: ::Claymore::
As far as I can tell the main plot's come to something like this: People are having war on the mainland. They set up a research area where they created claymores as experimental weapons. Miria found out and decided to fuck them over. What's annoying is that this plot wasn't even there in the beginni...

New chapter's out on mangastream. I think I'm going to stop reading now. It's just gotten so dull for me that I don't really care what's going on anymore. Might check it out when it's done to see what happened. Too bad it got so far off track, it was awesome in the beginning.

Yeah, you should get the actual program done with scanner first. Then you can create the sexy interface with JFrame or Applet. They're pretty much the same thing except you can put an applet on a website. Also, are you using anything to help you create the program or just straight up command line co...

I would personally use JFrames and ActionListener for user input. I'll try to whip up a little example in a bit. EDIT: O.K., small example here with JFrame and ActionListener. This is the JFrame class. import javax.swing.*; import java.awt.*; import java.awt.event.*; //need these to use JFame and Ac...
