Re: Berserk Stupid theories
I think Farnese's brother is a prime candidate for betrayal. He's weak, out for himself, and he decided to go to Skellig because Puck said he could make a profit. I don't know IMO the guy seems to have is act together.....When you consider he is secretly plotting with Puck to take over Skellig with...

i thought they already got attacked by a giant sea something ... All I can remember are some wimpy pirates. Suddenly encountering a kraken...is an interesting idea. Be interesting to see how they'd deal with something like that. I would expect it would involve some sort of tentacle rape scenario wi...

Re: Berserk 305 - Foundation
.....while ostracizing Guts along the way. Recall Guts being chased down by the Holy See, due to reports of a Black-swordsman being the harbinger of this darkness. While that is certainly possible, Griffith has nothing to gain by doing so...at the moment. Griffith seems to not really care about Gut...

Thanks EG!!! Can't wait to see how this combining of worlds further pans out. :) At the time, the first eclipse and the ascension of the final god-hand was portrayed as the event to bring force a new age of "darkness" upon the human world. I guess now they're just releasing the flood-gate...

Re: Berserk Stupid theories
I just hope that Guts' struggle against fate won't end up like Oedipus', where his struggle led to the fulfillment of his prophecies. It may be the way things go, however, since the people that usually beat fate are the tricksters and Guts has never been one to take anything but a direct approach. ...

Re: Berserk 301 - Confusion
Again, I think you're missing the point, Grahf. Guts was far more than just a "chess piece" to Griffith, even the "most important" one. Guts was the only friend Griffith had had in his entire life (whether Griffith realized that he was a friend before he left or not), and Griffi...

Re: Berserk 301 - Confusion
From the FAQ: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: Is Griffith the King of Midland? In the anime it is stated that Griffith is king. However, that is not the case in the manga. That is a difference that only occurs in the anime. Griffith does inde...

Damn it Miura!
The pope's words are what made this chapter great for me. Also, I was thinking about something related to the timeline of getting to the elf island. Although Roderick did say that it was far off, it could be closer than what normal people think. Perhaps the people who went there previously and repo...

Re: The way presidential candidates are chosen
I won't pretend I know much about the Clinton years as I was in elementary school during, but I believe Bush supporters are simply trying to pass the buck when they try to blame the recession on the Clinton administration, especially considering it happened after almost 8 years of the Bush administ...

...alongside the host of Clintonistas back from the dead to carry out the status quo. To use the phrase "status quo" is to imply that the new appointees will continue the policies and operating style of the current administration... I'm sure that's NOT what you meant. If you in fact meant...

Re: The way presidential candidates are chosen
As for the American system not being very good... or there being objectionable things about it... I think I would rather have a direct voice in selecting the nominees for the party I align myself with than have some backroom deal made in which I have no say... and ultimately it still beats the shit...

Re: Berserk 300 - Sorceress of the Hawk
Maybe, maybe not. It will depend on how dominant Miura wants to make Griffith's victory over the Kushan Emperor. I could legitimately see Griffith wanting either a hard fought victory, with a fair degree of casulties, or a complete dominance in the battle with no real contest at all and very few ca...

No one really had a choice.....as they were all fated to do so.War Machine wrote:Shouldn't you say that Guts was the only one who wasn't given a choice to join the Hawks? Or rather, the only one who's choice was stripped? Add to that being the first to leave the Hawks.

Re: Berserk 300 - Sorceress of the Hawk
yeah, but humans are rational beings, who learn to adapt their behaviors to the environment. If someone can be revived as easily as they can in DBZ, they wouldn't care that much. It would be more like "dammit, they killed Krilin again, what an inconvenience". It was fun, but way too stupi...

I think for things like this you should be picky. Saying "if you come to me I have no reason to refuse you" is totally different from a "I want you". This is a forum, we are supposed to discuss thing here. Why accept defeat (sorry if that's not the right expression, i don't know...
