I've kept a few books through the couple of years I've been able to. First was a writing handbook I received during my English class senior year of high school. Lots of great stuff in there, including MLA and APA formatting (common citation styles for papers written at American university) made simp...

Re: Scandalously bad textbooks, problem with American textbo
American textbooks are both grotesquely bloated (so much so that some state legislatures are considering mandating lighter books to save students from back injuries) I want to say that it's Arizona that requires schools to have two copies of text books. One for home, one for school. Lessens the bur...

Seriously. Can we stop with the utter and complete villification with anyone that was a Nazi? Half the damn time they didn't even want anything to do with what Hitler had going on. The current Pope was a Hitler Youth!
Gotta love over-political correctness.

I went to an interview at the dollar store today. Easiest job to get, ever. Pathetic pay and hours though. It doesn't seem so bad there because it looks like they arn't strict at all. I hate strict. Saw a cashier sitting, that was a relief. It's a very good fall-back job. What about using that as a...

Sounds good. You might want to look at Utopia and Earth: 2025 from Swirve for inspiration. I used to play both many years ago. Even had a top-rated account for 2025 for a round. Certainly wouldn't mind something else to come around.

Halo: Combat Evolved? Yet Another: FPS! I play FPS, I like them. I have a dislike for console FPS to begin with, the control is just too wonky compared to WASD + mouse. If I try and ignore the controls, I really don't see how Halo stood out at all. I played the PC and liked it better due to control...

To continue on the whole PS3 price debate: The PS3 is gonna cost £425 in england which is about $800 and consumers won't even have the option of getting the Core package. Now that's insane. Sucks for those who are in the UK. Shocking that Basou screwed the pooch on this one. Fortunately I'm catchin...

Topic is worth carrying on about, since we're seeing the summer hike again. I have a large truck, and I filled it this morning from just about empty (Low Fuel warning was on) and it cost me $78 at $2.79 (I have a 29 gallon tank). I'm not sure the mileage I'm getting, but I'd expect something around ...

This was all sparked by inflation fears in the States. The Dow had it's largest slide yesterday in about three years. The CPI (the measure economists and others use to find inflation rates) rose 0.6% in April, which was 0.1% higher than expected. I know that sounds like a small number but when a pre...
