I would have think that the right arm would be attack and the left defense. Oh well he was attacking with his left anyway and he just defended an attack with his right, so it doesn't matter too much.

I read about that, it sounded ingenious. Targetting the mitochondria was a good approach. Don't they even mentioned that the compound could even be used as a vaccine, since it could also detect and act on cells at an early stage? They are probably going with a human trial right now. The greasy scien...

What the fuck is this? You must have messed up your linkage. It's been posted in the interesting links thread already (by guess who?). How is it interesting is debatable though. It's certainely not musical-related.

But that tells you one thing: Felony has a morbid attraction to cats.

He, remember the puppet master, that could take 3 chapters and still be OK (I must say, the protagonaists of this fight were OK, but the whole fight was a mess. But I liked the guy). Anyway we are going to have at least 1 chapter explaining how Naruto's new jutsu is awesome, etc. After spending way ...

Still Kishimoto put himself in a hole with this one: Shikamaru's battle was great and all. But it's Naruto, and there's a big possibility that Hidan is not gone. So that makes Shikamaru's posing lame, and another come-back from the ass of hell. 2nd possibility: he's gone for good, but then why the h...

He, don't worry, I rather have you doing it slowly but consistenly. You're doing a good job. And for some reason, nobody seems to have any interest in picking up LO, which blows my mind.

Yeah, I guess the trick is to really understand what "natural" encompass in this case. My wife's mother is geologist, and she doesn't seems to be too concern about all these things. Her take is that it's nothing more than cyclic, and humanity's role is unclear (meaning unclear, not saying ...

I didn't really see the sarcasm, but meh. Is it possible that the Chinese problem is linked to pollution (read: rejection of chemicals in rivers, NOT greenhouse gas)? Increased fishing has nothing to do with a change in climate. In the other thread (linked by Psi 1st post), it puzzles me that atmosp...

We're all idiots huh? Well then I'm going to tell you you're a fucking idiot too since your post has no content, just opinions that have no ground (so far). Just a goddamn rant. A cool down of the Earth as a result of the cooling of the major sea stream seems a reasonable hypothesis, backed up by re...

For some reason it makes me think more of Austin Powers than Ash. Did Miura mentioned he's a fan of the british spy? I'll let you guys think of the deeper implications of this, it's omake food.

That would surely makes sense, but in this case there is little space for theories: the real name is the name Miura wants to see used, period. Everything else is smoke.

Still interesting though.

He, Grave of the Fireflies was so depressing I have yet to finish it. It's on top of the TV, waiting to be finished but I just can't. I know what the outcome is, and it's making me sad before I see it. That's how good the characters where developed in it. It's not so much about Japanese soldiers tho...

I hope Jackson is not following a Besson-like path, but King Kong was pretty good, so no alarm here. We'll see how Del Toro cope with celebrity, as his latest movie will surely give him that. He just hasn't left his mark on a recognizable franchise yet (except Mimic but nobody cared, and as far as I...

I consider Guillermo Del Toro as a second Peter Jackson, or Sam Raimi. You look at his filmography: Mimic, Devil's Backbone, Hellboy, Blade II, and that Makes Pan's Labyrinth a lock. I will probably go next week.

I do mind (a little), since his storytelling was much subtlier before. Gally's process to recollect her memories and growing up as a new person was much better in the previous serie. I hate the fact that he seems to feel obliged to spoonfed us the mental process of Gally's evolution, while the same ...
