Its not so much about giving him upgrades to fight the creatures... I think it will happen more because its been a while (and I'm sure its getting harder) to surprise us in fights with Guts. We've seen all his tricks, we've seen all his weapons and he's used them in about every way you can at this p...

I'd rather they changed the hand cannon to something magical he could grasp things other than a sword with. Then he still has the missing hand and the added firepower the cannon gives him. and finally both volumes are out on dvd... they released it as two hour and a half movies rather than 2 dvds with 3 episodes each... the thing that annoyed me was they released them like 2 years apart. BTW....during Guts's first confrontation in the presence of Puck, Puck made an interesting comment in passing, regarding the Skullnight, that probably flew under the radar of most readers. Where he mentioned that there was something about the SK that was Elven in nature.....something he just couldn...

Your also forgetting that he did the spell combo that essentially covered his sword (and some/most of his body) with fire... That on top of the lightning close calls... well yeah you get that result essentially. Which I suppose is better than the other option of death.

But as far as we've seen, the Behelits usually come to people who have very powerful dreams, and are activated when those dreams are shattered. What dream of his could qualify? I dunno...living up to the family name? Making his father proud or not being a complete loser in the eyes of his family? T...

Awesome chapter although it didn't move things along too much; it is really a training chapter and Berserk doesn't have too many of those...

We won't switch to guts until we see the finale of the Griffith vs Ganishanka fight. Then maybe but we'll probably stay until Griffith is crowned or at least leading up to that...

But we'll definitely see the last of the Kushan fight.

I agree the last 2 chapters have a ton of plot development...almost like the story has gone into high gear now that we've been through that long long session of pure violence and fighting... good stuff.
